Weber Family Update

Time for another Weber family update.  My goodness, the time is flying by.  The month of November was filled with lots of family & Church activities.   Had a great time making cards for OWH with my friends at Park Place Nursing Home.  They had such a good time.  We're going to continue doing it throughout the year.  It's something they can all do,  despite some of  their physical limitations .  Had a bit of a family scare a couple of weeks ago with my brother-in-law , Greg, who all love like a brother.  He had  bi-pass surgery.  Doing well, getting his strenth back, and both of them are getting ready to celebrate their Golden Anniversary the 30th of this Month.

Gary is quite into his hunting this time of year.  He and his buddies  have fixed up a duck blind they all share use for hunting.  Fortunately, it's near here , so we get to spend a lot of time with him.  He's been busy at his mom's.  I finally got my lights above my cabinets put in by my young electritian.  All those wonderful decorations that go above them will be lit up in the evening.   He and his girlfriend are doing well.  They make each other happy and that's so important for both of them.  They've been through alot this past year.  But , wow, what a difference a year makes.  He's his old self again. (finally)  And the more we're around Lisa the more all of us like her.

Then there's Donna and Greg  who never stop.  If it isn't family, Band,  the hospital ,Greg's  helping at Concerts,  Donna's degree work, or just life in general.  This is one busy couple.  But somehow we managed to have some Mom/Donna time this Fall.  We spent a bit of that time getting ready for our annual Advent by Candlelight event  December 1.  It was just wonderful as usual.  The tables were spectacular.  Love starting the Season like that.  Donna had to work  Thanksgiving this year, so we ate a bit later to accommodate her busy , crazy schedule.  Thanksgiving was so wonderful.  Gary and I are just so blessed to have the family we do.

The grandkids are wonderful as expected.  Band is over for our Matt.  Can't believe he's a senior.  His senior pictures turned out so nice.  Was able to make a special collage of them.  Found the perfect frame for that, so ofcourse, I bought 3.  I mean really, they all need to match, right....  Mandi  is having a fun junior year.   How did she get to be so grownup all of a sudden.  She and Hannah are  blossoming into such beautiful young ladies.  (I mean, they always were cute).  She and Matt still have the same special people they are dating. The date after Thanksgiving, my 3 little decorating elves and their mom and dad came over and took down Fall and put up Christmas at Grandmas.  Each year Mandi & Hannah just get more and more creative.  What those kids did to decorate my house was fantastic.  Everyone thought I had done it.  Just hope I can get some pictures up to post here.    Our Hannah is ha ving such a busy fun year.  It's pretty hard trying to find her at home.  She's are very own social butterfly.  But she is so enjoying her last year in elementary school.  Thank heavens.  Eighth grade can be quite the bummer.

But, of course, the true highlight for my Gary is his deck is finally going to be finished.  Cannot wait.  They're almost  done, but the cold temperatures have come in(after all, it is December)  They should be done early next week.  He is so pleased to have it done.  Now he could have had it put on long ago, but.......

Now we're in the throws of the Advent Season, and everyone's busy, busy, busy.  We had our annual  Couples' Cookie Exchange last weekend along with fixing up a food basket for St. Vincent DePaul.  Wow, this year we really were able to give quite a large quantity of food to them.  We truly have a group of caring, giving friends.   I'm in my element right now, because I'm busy in my craft room ( which those in the know call it "Grandma's Happy Place").  Still busy making cardsTrying to "kick them up a notch this year.  Have gotten into watercolor markers and pencils.  Love the look.  But Advent is soon over and we will celebrate His birthday  again.  This year we are going to Midnight Mass and then coming back to the house for breakfast.  That will bring back many great memories of when the kids were still at home.  Hopefully, I've caught everyone up on the comings and goings of all of us..

Christmas Blessings to you and yours for all who stop by to catch up with the Webers on our blog here.
