Crisis Over Prom Dresses Bought ; Confirmation Dress Bought

Peace comes to the Mansfield house at last.  Everyone has a prom dress and someone has her Confirmation Dress.  All is right with the world.

I don't ever remember this much fun and excitement picking out a prom dress or confirmation dress.  But my goodness,  it was truly an adventure.  Which, of course, is just what Donna needs, Another Adventure at the Mansfield Estate.

Matt is busy finishing up his last year (I still have a hard time realizing he's almost 19 and soon oft to Rolla).  He , of course, has probably not ordered his tux.  I figure 2 days before Prom he might get to that.  He's a guy.  What can I say.

Had a wonderful Sunday Brunch with one of my favorite granddaughters, Hannah.  She and I had some special bonding time finishing up our book of questions for Confirmation Candidates and Sponsors.  Yes, she asked old Grandma to be her sponsor.  I feel quite Blessed about this. Our Hannah has changed quite a bit this year, both inside and out.  She has so much more confidence and has become prettier each day.  I didn't think she could get prettier , but she has.  She's working hard at Dance .  Going to try out for the Freshman team in April.    In May, she's off  to Washington DC for an 8th grade trip.  July comes her big recital, just before she leaves for 2 weeks at JBA at Truman University.    Wow, talk about a busy Summer.  Good for her.

Our mandi is getting soooooo close to getting her license.  Think she's going to try this Friday afternoon.  Hope all goes well there.  She's busy with color guard  "The Winter Drum Line"   competitions.  They don't have many left.  The one on March 17th is at O'fallon, Illinois.  Right across from Lisa's house.  So we are all going to converge on she and Gary for dinner following the competition.  This will be the first one Uncle Gary will have been able to see.  Lots of excitement .

Gary and I are so enjoying our new deck (we call it the "baby deck" it's so small.  But it works out perfectly for us.  No more of those ugly steps for Gary when he's Qing.  Which I think he's planning on this evening.    No trips planned for us this year to date.  He and Gary on going to have a couple of weekends this month to head down to the lake.  I love it that they can do this again.  It's been too long.  They both so enjoy fishing.   together.    I think Gary's got 2 weeks arranged for his Spring fishing time.  Hope he gives the fish away.  You can just eat so much crappe.

I'm in the middle of organizing with friends a Christian Seder the week before Holy Week.  This should prove interesting.  I figure if we get the number we need  to actually have the Seder, great.  If we don't, then we'll table it until next year.  I have totally turned this over to HIM.  If HE wishes it to happen, it will.  So time will tell.

Have a blessed day
